These were necessary to rectify the rutting caused during routine grassland management at the end of last summer which has led to health and safety concerns - please see the attached photo for reference. The delay in addressing the issue was due to ground conditions, as it had been too wet to safely operate machinery without risking further damage. The agency's ecologist has advised that undertaking the remedial works now, at an optimal time, should allow natural regeneration of the grassland to occur.
